The game “Mortal Kombat” was an arcade game that was published by an American company called Midway. Back in the time, people could get access to this game through an arcade machine or a home version which people could play on their Nintendo (SNES, a 16-bit home video game console). The player of this game can do a high kick, a low kick, a high punch, a low punch, or a block action. The game can be played by 1 player or 2 players. For the starting menu, each player can choose a character they want to be from the 7 characters. For the single-player mode, there are 12 stages for the player to fight against. 2 stages for the final boss, 3 stages for the mini-boss, and 6 stages for fighting against each character that the player didn’t choose from. For the 2 players mode, people can play with their friends and fight each other. 

As we can see from the difference between these two versions, this game has to make it less violent to the players. This is mainly because of the “Family Friendly” policy from Nintendo, which the game can be played by any age group.
