“I Am Legend" is a 2007 American sci-fi thriller directed by Francis Lawrence. 

The film is based on the novel with the same name written by Richard Matheson firstly published in 1954

Summary of the story

In 2007, a deadly virus spreads all over the world and infected 99% of the world's population, killing many of them and mutating those who did not die into Darkseekers. The main character, Robert Neville, is a U.S. Army virologist who lives as the sole survivor with his dog for three years in the ruins of Manhattan after the virus outbreak. Neville spends his days capturing infected rats and Darkseekers to experiment and try to find a cure to save all of humanity.

Poster

This is the Theatrical release poster, with the main character act by Will Smith walking with his dog highlighting his importance. He is also the only human shown in the poster which gives the idea of his isolation. The background is the broken view of New York City tells the setting of the story. There is a column of small white letters in the background of what Neville recorded in the radio broadcasts which looking for other survivors. It echoes the large black font in front of it, "THE LAST MAN ON EARTH IS NOT ALONE." This gives the audience a sense of hope. At the bottom of the poster is first the name of the movie in fancy font format. Then followed by the billing block.
