Back in the 1980s, the NES system was a very new and advanced piece of technology where it allows people to play video games at home on their televisions or computers, allowing people not to go to the arcades, especially since this video game is released in 1987 only 2 years after the NES was introduced.

This means that many of these game companies would need to be at their top level with their creation and technologies to meet the demands of their customers. However, this rapid development in technologies also means that the old gaming technologies will get replaced, just like how many games now can be played on computers without the need for the NES console or other devices.
The rapidly evolving technologies will replace the NES consoles and the cartridges. This means that the big bulky cartridges might not be kept and might even be thrown away, suggesting that games that use technologies like the cartridges or arcade games will be forgotten. Although these technologies might be forgotten soon in the future, the games themselves might be kept alive through new technologies, like the emulator. But the experience of using these old consoles can not be replaced, therefore, causing these games to be endangered in some ways.
