Conclusion

          MSS 04246, the Liber Pantheon, has been a source of knowledge passing through several hands in its time. It is not an original copy nor is it the most complete copy of Etienne de Bourbon’s experiences, but it was made from that original manuscript into a new form after Etienne’s death to better pass on its information to a new audience. In its physical form, it served as a source for preachers and writers alike in past centuries and now is a wonderous source for modern scholars or even any interested Internet scroller. It is a poignant example of how far information can travel across time and space, whether as a physical book or as inspiration or even as new copies and versions that are created long past the original author’s death. It now has been digitally archived in its entirety by the Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library, in a form that even its original creators never would have conceived. While it was created centuries ago, MSS 04246’s life has not finished and is ever ongoing.
