This book was published by “J.B. Lippincott & Co.” in Philadelphia in the form of printed hardcovers. The books were curated and then shipped to bookstores and distributors. This required the printing company to produce enough copies for the demand of those who wanted to read it. The book was released when the single way to read a book was by buying a hard copy at a store or renting it from a library. The only technological way of reading and sharing books was through these physical copies that were printed. Over time, the book was able to be transported into more accessible ways such as e-books, online images, and digital texts. There are so many copies available due to the book’s ability to be transported, therefore it is not endangered and is easily accessible. Within the United States, and within the global context, society is continuously focusing on eradicating racism and establishing equitable rights for all citizens (Ako-Adjei 2017). Due to the fact that many of the novel’s subject matter still resonates today, To Kill A Mockingbird will always be preserved morally and digitally.
