Conclusion

This exhibit and analysis highlights the cruel outcome of assimilation of Aboriginal peoples into settler society without permitting them to hold on to their cultural and historical identity as well as refusing to fairly allocate proper resources that would ideally contribute to less marginalization and more ethnic inclusion, directly reducing their involvement in criminal activities. This overrepresentation stems not only from uneducated Aboriginal peoples, but also the lack of knowledge that settler communities possess regarding them, leading to discriminatory belief, policies that do nothing to eradicate this issue.
