Analysis

This object is significant to my passage or rather the whole story because clothes can be seen as a symbol of civilization. Clothes are like the bridge between mankind and becoming a werewolf. In Bisclavret, without his clothes he turns into a werewolf no matter what. Which is why he hid his clothes in a secret location because they were that valuable to him. Until he told his wife and she schemed to steal his clothes, he had a sense of feeling that no one would help him because his appearance was monster-like even though in heart he is still human. My object represents an event where if a wolf sees a person before the person sees the wolf, then the person loses their voice; the person can regain their voice by removing their clothes and banging two rocks together. In this case, it’s like you’re cursed/scarred and you’re not normal anywhere. So you must remove your clothes and do these actions and only then will you be able to wear your clothes again and be normal. Without clothes you’re like an outcast which everyone looks at differently which is exactly what happened in Bisclavret.
