Colour Coding

Purple - The purple lines follow the musical notes. These annotations will play the music written on each line of the page. 

Blue - The secular lyrics of the song, in Middle English with modern translation.

Red - The sacred lyrics, in Latin with English translation.

Green - Manuscript and meta notes, including the instructional text (in Latin and English translation), explanation of the pes, property stamp, and notes on the clef and key signature.
