Introduction

Much of Archimedes' work was recorded in his manuscripts, which were written entirely in Greek. However, since the paper did not yet exist and the only medium for writing was parchment, Archimedes' manuscripts were divided into three parts: Archimedes Manuscript A, Archimedes Manuscript B, and Archimedes Manuscript C. The contents of Archimedes Manuscript A and Archimedes Manuscript B are no longer a secret, but unfortunately, Archimedes Manuscript C has not been found.

It was not until early 1998 that the "Archimedes Parchment," a religious prayer book, was sold at auction and won by a mysterious wealthy American. He hired a team of professionals who discovered through their research that on the paper of the Archimedes' parchment, there was not only the presence of the prayers of the godfather Johnathan Maryland but also an indistinct Greek imprint. Through their research, they eventually succeeded in recovering two texts, The Method and The Stomachion, from Archimedes' manuscript C. The two texts, The Method and The Stomachion are the most important of Archimedes' manuscripts.
