Conclusion
In conclusion, this essay finds that in Beowulf’s story, the title of ‘monster’ is not exclusive to the narrative villains of his story. It highlights the rhetoric and stylistic devices used by those who have written its adaptations, and notes how they have been utilized to blur the lines between what makes a hero a hero and a monster a monster. Furthermore, it finds that the humans/victims of the story are also monsters in their own way. Thus, one could say that everyone in Beowulf can be a monster.
