Conclusion

Marie de France’s Bisclavret and its depiction of the werewolf demonstrates how outward appearances cannot be the only marker of monstrosity or humanity. The text and the objects featured in this exhibit, demonstrate how the behaviour exhibited is a greater indicator of humanity. Bisclavrets dual existence as beast and man ultimately demonstrates how humanity is not something that is confined to only those who display outward appearance of humanity.
