This exhibit focuses on Martin Luther’s Passional Christi und Antichristi, a pamphlet produced during the Reformation period in Wittenberg, Germany. The Reformation came at a time where using print as a medium for distributing written works allowed for Protestant ideologies to reach a larger number of people and be documented. I will showcase some of the pairs of woodcuts in the pamphlet, and discuss the echnology used to present Luther’s work to the public, and his motivations.
