This exhibit focuses on the Aga Khan Museum's PS24 Robe and aims to identify its thematic commonalities, possible origins in Central Asia, and broader lessons learned through investigating the artefact in a digital context.
A brief context of the exhibit: Titled, "Texts and Textiles: A Robe and its Stories", this exhibit examines the material stories of a robe "woven from wool, embroidered with twining blossoms and lively story tableaus featured at the Aga Khan Museum in Toronto. Created in Central Asia in the 20th century, this garment (Aga Khan Museum, PS24) tells stories about King Solomon and Haroun al Rashid, about star-crossed lovers and seekers after wisdom."
