This exhibit shows the different interpretations of serpents in the Medieval based on the descriptions of the serpent king Zahhak in the Iranian epic Shahnameh, the serpents in the Greek Romance Kallimachos & Chrysorroi, and the serpent-form first parents of human beings in the 8th-century China.
