Using the text from Shahnameh by Abolqasem Ferdowsi, the significance of the boar headed monster and the thrones throughout Sekandar’s conquest is discussed. The boar headed corpse and the thrones represent Sekandar’s inevitable death, imperial power, and arrogance in a terrifying and mysterious manner. The parallel between the throne in the text and a throne drawn in the manuscript of King Zahhak from Shahnameh, which is the main object, is argued through King Zahhak’s fate and the boar headed corpse’s possible identity. The golden throne and the manuscript of Kay Khusrau from Shahnameh provide similar representations of power, wealth, and arrogance of kings.
