The Origin of Species by Charles Darwin
Description
My exhibit will focus on The Origin of Species by Charles Darwin. This book was published in London in the year 1859. The focus of Charles Darwin book is his ideas of evolution and natural selection. This book was banned in countries outside of England because it contradicted the shared ideas of God’s power, and this created controversy because religious people at the time believed that God was the all-powerful who created everything, and that science did not explain the universe. As a result, the book was banned at the time it was published. This book is studied in most school curricula in the modern times, especially in the US, even though it was banned in the past. It was mainly controversial at the time that it was published in Europe.

Charles Darwin’s book Origin of Species, is about his theories on natural selection, natural selection, evolution and mutation variation. Darwin wasn’t against the idea of a divine creator, but he wanted to prove that scientifically explanation of evolution and survival of the fittest in relation to the Divine Creator. What he means is every organism came from God, but then science took control in the form of evolution. But the readers thought that Darwin was attacking the idea of religion and God’s power. (go see the book on Thursday and note its size, if there are any marginal notes, illustrations or any other important notes)
